Mertropolis

Gear Craft thinks, then says, "Has anyone heard of those rumors about the Cardsmen down in Princesses? I've heard they've been more active, we could check that out?"

"The Cardsmen?"Golden tilts her head in mild confusion.  "Well wouldn't that be more like out in the open so we'd need the whole costumes for that right?"

Roll:

Golden has heard of the Cardsmen before, they're an old gang (several generations at least) that operate in Princessess. She knows their members adopt various card deck themes, most commonly the Prench deck (that'd be the standard hearts, clubs, spades, diamonds one) or Tarot themed. She doesn't know much more than that though, since she rarely (if ever) visits Princessess.

"There's a bookshelf right there. I'm sure you can find something." Floe points to her small bookshelf...

Coral the plaid sea pony goes over and looks to see if any of the books on the shelf are interesting.

Books!:

Gear Craft nods, and says, "Then I'm on board with going to Old Metropolis and investigating, lizard ponies never sounds like a good thing."

After a bit more jibber jabber, Floe goes out in search of her bandmates, finding the same empty homes as she has before, and returns to her own to find that the others got bored and all are in the midst of a nap. (Power nap? Super power nap?)

Gear Craft awakes with a groan, thinking, Man that floor is not comfy. He nudges the others awake, or at least attempts to.

Coral stretches and yawns. "Oh, hey, Floe's back. Maybe now we can go do whatever it is we were planning on?"

Golden rather groggily wakes up and mutters out "Are we all ready now-ish. I'll lead the way I guess."

Roll:

Gear Craft nods, and attempts to think of an entrance that's safe, un-observable, and quick. Or any combo of those 3 criteria.

Assist:

Golden identifies a spot, using the map Floe had used earlier, that she recalls there being an old (currently closed) sort of tourism "learn about Old Mertropolis" spot that actually had an entrance in the back so that people could explore a tiny section of safe tunnels to get a look at it for themselves.

Golden grabs the map and heads out the door. "To the tourist center!"

Coral follows after Golden, but only after making sure she is in full disguise.

Before leaving, Floe refills her water bottle. She gives her shadow a glance and whispers "So, are you ready?"

Everyone can now choose to roll Perception to see if they noticed Floe talking to her currently inanimate and normal looking shadow.
Edit: Paper, you should roll Stealth to oppose.

Everyone in the party notices Floe talk to her shadow. Which does not answer back shockingly.

Gear Craft notices, and makes yet another mental note to bring it up at a better time. He then checks his impromptu costume, and follows after, making sure his suit is functional while he walks.

Col takes one final look over his disguise, not as great as a costume, but it would have to do for now. While doing this he notices Floe talk to her shadow, which caused him to raise an eyebrow and think for a bit before shrugging it off, deciding there were more important things to attend to. He then followed the others through the door.

Golden stops for a moment looking at Floe "Are you feeling alright there you're kinda talking to your shadow and stuff... is this part of your powers? Well anyway we really should get moving" With that Golden leads the way toward the chosen entrance.

After a bit of travel, and the occasional odd look from a passerby, the group reaches the spot Golden had picked out. The place certainly looked like it wasn't occupied and hadn't been for a while.

Golden looks for a way in.

Roll:

Golden (and everyone else) spots the front doors as well as a number of windows. She also spots a chimney on the top of the building. She also notices that there are other people passing by, hardly shocking at any time of day or night in Mertropolis.

Golden tries to open the front door acting entirely casual and that she is supposed to be entering the building.

Locked.
