Floe flies up the stairs and peers outside of the door, to make sure the coast is relatively clear of people passing by...

Col also flies up the stairs. He planned on leaving quickly, but seeing Floe search he waits until she is done...

A moment after Floe and Col fly into the room heedlessly, four lanterns are lit and they find themselves surrounded by four policemen with muskets trained on them. One of them barks the command for them to, "Halt and identify yourselves!"

Gear Craft runs into the room as well, and, noticing the musket police, attempts to jam the guns.

Gear is pretty sure the muskets jammed, though he can't tell for sure nor can the policemen as they aren't currently trying to fire them.

"Uh oh," Floe thinks to herself. She was worried that there might be trouble, but she didn't expect it would come so quick. "Hey. Is there a problem?" She also begins to focus on her piercing on her ear, preparing to do a trick with her powers. She isn't planning on doing it as soon as possible, just keeping it ready...

(Preparing Light Trap)

One of the other policemen speaks up, a miniature giraffe, and says nonchalantly, "Oh, nothing big miss. Just a small matter of B&E, damage and possible theft of city property, and further to be concluded upon investigation. If you wouldn't mind tell your other two friends to come in, we'd like to have you all accompany us to the station."

Notes on current state of party's disguises in case people forgot:

Gear: ski mask, moss green dye mostly washed out, bandages fairly loose

Golden: ski mask destroyed, dark brown dye

Floe: ski mask, hair dyed yellow (though this is just hair, not her scales and she isn't able to disguise being a dragonnel)

Col: ski mask, light brown dye, bandages fairly loose

Col raises his hooves and smiles, saying, "Hey, officers... What exactly do you think we've stolen?" Col attempts to see if he recognizes any of them.

Gear Craft turns and calls out, "G-golden, come on out he- Wait, 5 of us? Officer, we've only got 4 of us."

One of the officers, a pegasus laughs at this, and another, a goat, just points at the door Col is holding (yes, it's not recognizable as a door in it's current form but it's a big metal thing and the door was a big metal thing) and adds, "That and one of the lamps." The earth pony who spoke to the group first says, "And that's just from this building. We'll probably have to investigate down below for anything else."

The giraffe replies to Gear, "The lady unicorn that was with you. Don't try and deny it. It's painted all over your face." The goat chimes in, "His face?" To which the giraffe replies, "Well ok his voice. It's just a saying ok?"

Col responds with a quick, "Hey, we, well, he made this himself," he says, gesturing at Gear, who gives a quick smile before responding, "Well, you see officers, the problem with that is, she... kinda... isn't with us anymore. And the lamp is still down there, if you guys want it. Warning though, we just escaped from some... lizard... pony things. So, uh, might not be worth it." Col chimes in with, "We do have a kinda injured friend, if you can help, we would appreciate it. And yeah, those lizard ponies are bad news."

Col is gonna use If You Want Something Done Right, so that's a total of 24 for that Persuasion.

The pegasus just laughs even harder at this while the giraffe and the goat in unison just say, "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight" and the earth pony just gives Col and Gear a blank look and then after a pause says, "If there's someone injured we'll handle that. Where are they?"

Golden first turns off the last of her fires before staggering into view while shaking almost uncontrollably. "The blood was everywhere! She she used magic to get away after the the what ever they were attacked smugglers lizards I don't know... They're still coming after us still!! Please you have to help us!!! We should have never done this..." Golden just keeps on repeating herself each time getting slightly softer.

Rolls:

Floe sticks her claw in Golden's mouth to shut the deer up as soon as Floe realised what was going to come out of Golden's mouth, which was when she started to talk about the blood. It would have only made the situation worse...

The earth pony raises an eyebrow... and that's the last thing any of them see before the light is sucked out of the room, leaving everyone, but Floe and Col blind.

Floe, with a little smirk, laces the floor with ice. She then grabs Golden's hoof and whispers a single word in the deer's ear. "Fly." With that, she lets her wings carry her as she tugs Golden's hoof to lead her to the exit...

Col has a similar idea. He moves over to Gear and picks the mini-giraffe up, carrying him to the exit...

The group quickly gets outside while the policemen are still scrambling around on the ice in confusion. Outside it's pretty dark, though there are some street lamps lit at least at the corner of each street. They don't see too many people around, there are at least a few who react with some surprise to the group flying out of the building so quickly.

"Follow me," Floe orders as she takes to the skies. She moves in a random direction at first, moving through clouds to hide her path from being followed by anyone else, but after a short while she turns to head to her friend's apartment...

Golden follows trying not to be seen as well.

As far as the group knows they have lost any pursuers/watchers. At this time Floe's shadow returns and guides her.... to the place she was already going.

The group finds themselves stopping at a large apartment building, ten storyies in all, and the shadows guides them to an apartment on the 9th floor. (From the outside of course.) The shadow just flies up to the window which it inexplicably slams into and reels backwards.

Arcana check from anyone who would like to make one (though logically only those of you who are actually good at it should be as it's weird when someone with a 5 in Arcana randomly recognizes spells in a low magic setting).

Floe senses some magic and tries to identify it...

Col & Floe both recognize what happened was due to a simple barrier spell. Floe can also tell it's not amazingly strong and this type of barrier generally only blocks incorporeal things. (Someone unlearned might think this would be harder to do/learn than blocking corporeal objects and they'd be really wrong.)

Floe removes her ski mask, flies up to the window, and knocks...

"What?" says a voice from inside. Shortly after Floe's friend Heather Health comes up to the window and peers out of it and asks, "Floe? Well that sort of explains things."

"Hey Heather," replies Floe nonchalantly. "Can I come in?"

"Uh.... yeah. I'd say I have company, but you already know that right? Well, come on in and tell me what the buck is going on." she replies.

Inside the fairly small, but nice and well kept looking apartment, the first thing people notice is Coral in awful shape, clean of all the blood and dye and with her leg set. Lying on a nearby table, that looks out of place, there are a bunch of bloody rags and bowls of bloody water and some other medical odds and ends. In a pile near the center of the room there's a pile of stuff that looks weird sitting where it is and at odds with the otherwise neat appearance of the place. Underneath Coral is a tarp and there's a large bloody stain on the wooden floor. On the nightstand next to the bed there's a lit lamp. There's another lit lamp hanging from the ceiling in the center of the room.
