Gear Craft nods and says, "That seems like a good first... hero-ing gig, I suppose. Should we wait and make our costumes before we get going?"

Golden tilts her head and looks at Gear.  "Is is like there is going to like anyone down there that is really going to be able to see them? We should only just like need some basic things to cover up right?"

Coral makes a face. "I was hoping that I would be able to see my designs in action sooner rather than later. How long would it take to make them?"

Gear Craft thinks and says, "All depends on what you want 'em made of. Does anyone know of materials they want their costume made from?"

Coral thinks for a moment, taking slow sips of her apple juice. "Perhaps my costume could be made out of a fabric mix of cotton and something else, and the patches of it that are colors, other than the eyes, are made of leather. The eyes could be one-way glass or thin fabric."

"Something durable but would also allow me to fly, I guess." Col shrugs. "I don't exactly know many specifics, but I guess some leather mixed with something else."

Coral points at her cutie mark. "These can be just as recognizable as faces, you know. Besides, if someone sees our mane/tail and coat colors, that's half of identifying us right there."

Golden scratches her head for a moment before having a eureka moment. "We can like use some wrappings like bandages to cover up marks and well er like quick hair dye for the coats and manes! Um Flow do you have any of those things?"

Roll:

Coral looks at Floe for a good long moment. "If she uses hair dye, I somehow doubt it is any kind of dye i would want to use..."

"Right then I'll be back!" Golden rushes out to buy the dyes and stuff.

Golden returns in about twenty minutes (she's fast!) with two small sets of bandages, five ski masks, and cheap dyes (brown, light brown, moss green, yellow, and plaid).

After looking though the colors brought back, Coral squees. "I call plaid!"

Gear Craft pulls out the mossy green and says, "Hey. matches my soon-to-be costume!"

Golden picks back up the darker brown and adopts a blank look. "SO um how does this stuff work?"

"Well, with spray-in hair dye like this, you just spray it on everything you want dyed, and wash it out when you want to get rid of it. Simple, easy, and instructions printed on the bottle." Coral says as she does so herself with the plaid dye.

OOC:

Col, seeing the remaining options, quickly grabs the light-brown. "Better than yellow, at least..."

"There's nothing wrong with yellow," comments Floe as she levitates the last dye to her. She gives it a look over. "So, when should we do this?"

Coral gives Floe a look, her hair half-plaid.

Gear begins to dye himself as well.

Coral puts down her now-empty dye can. "Well then what exactly are we supposed to do in the meantime? Play Patty-Cake?"

The dye jobs mostly come out looking ok, if fairly unnatural looking on close inspection. With the exception of the plaid which would have always looked unnatural, even if it wasn't a lot more splotchy on application than claimed and the special device for "correct" application hadn't broken half way through and resulted in an even more splotchy second half.

"Well, if you are drinking apple juice, I'm not surprised if that's the first thing you'd suggest." Floe gives a grin at the sea unicorn...
