Adelinde asks the minicorn to use her magic on herself before charging up her spell again, once the little equine works its magic she moves passing between Parveth and Ketha, smacking them on the back with the same magic from earlier as she goes.

stuff:

After Adelinde moves away, the ant swarm that had been bother her instead moves to rip apart the communication ant that had been aiding the group.... more than they knew. As the swarms moves over in the direction of Steam, Adelinde spots a few of the ants comprising the swarm also go in her direction before course correcting to stay together. And of course the subtle guidance of having a better sense of what everyone/thing on their side was doing also goes away with the death of the communication ant.

Over in the distance the Queen Ant waggles her antennae and many of the ants that had been waiting by her side spring into action.

With only a few swarms left, the wood elf takes a moment to breathe a sigh and lowers her stance. She sheathes one sword, muttering under breath for a moment as energy coalesces onto her free hand. She then presses it to her chest, and her wounds knit somewhat.
Parveth then moves away from the group, peering out into the darkness intently. She murmurs, "Establishing a new frontline," as she does so.

"Nooo! Not the tiny one!" Anguished over the loss of the psychic ant, the water genasi fires an eldritch blast at a totally different swarm than the one who ended the psychic ant.

Now that everything smells nice, Sweetie takes a moment to look around, and notices the various bites and cuts Adelinde has. "My goodness! The eternal shame that would befall me should I be seen with a servant in such pitiful condition! Worry not; I'll fix this!"

The wood elf finally sheathes her blades, her body reveling for a moment that her spinning has stopped. She takes a moment to look around, studying the way the battle has turned. Satisfied that they're relatively safe, and trusting Adelinde and Steam to deal with the ants still on the genasi, Parveth speaks another small prayer to Sehanine as she draws her bow, intending to assist one of the few allied ants she can see.

The water genasi suddenly stands still, before outstretching her arms and facing her palms down. A crimson burst of energy launches from her hands as she calls out, "Step off!"

Mechanics:

Parveth's shot his true and sticks through the head of the ant she aimed for, while Steam and one of the smaller allied ants finish off the last of the swarms that had been bothering the group. The opposing ants pick up the pace with all the egg moving.

The wood elf moves forward a bit, turning her focus to a red ant busy moving eggs on the side. An arrow silently comes for it.

The water genasi moves forward quickly to catch up with the group, before calling flame onto one of the ants building the egg wall. There's no jokes as she burns a creature alive.

Mechanics:

Parveth sees her arrow sink deep into the big red ant and even though it's clearly on it's last legs, it trucks on and hauls around another batch of eggs for the wall. Steam fares less well as the fire she conjures forth forms slowly enough for the ant above it to move out of the way in time and then tear apart the smaller ally ant that had come up to aid in harassing it. A steam of liquid flies out from the darkness and the other of the small allied ants simply melts away into nothing. More ants move more eggs and the group even spots the ants begin to stack the eggs higher up.

Somewhat peeved her prey has moved out of her sight, Parveth strides forward a bit more, firing an arrow at an ant that has remained outside of the egg walled fortress. "I am not enjoying whatever they might be doing with this wall of eggs they have put between us. Steam, might you use your favorite substance to cleanse it?"

Steam flicks a hand and flames burst to life around a portion of the egg wall. Her previous fire dwindles quickly.

Mechanics:

Steam's bonfire struggles valiantly for oxygen to burn, and does so long enough to pop an egg that unfortunately bursts with enough sticky liquid to douse the flames.

The last of the group's allied ants falls and shortly afterwards the last remaining gap in the wall of eggs is closed.
