Mertropolis

Golden looks at each of the services and tries to find one that would be flexible enough for her to balance with heroics.

Roll:

Two of them pay by commission. One of them, Runners, caters only to packages from and to locations in Brontide. The other, Mertropolis Organized Parcel Service, has offices all over Mertropolis and curies packages all over.

Edit: MOPS also offers hourly positions but, typically you need to put in time as a commissioned employee for a while before they'll hire you for hourly work.

Golden heads down to the nearest of the MOPS offices and to the best of her ability professionally asks about getting a job...

She is immediately handed a form to fill out. It's not a particularly large form. Mostly it asks for her contact information. Also it asks for a 50 bit insurance fee that will be returned to her after she successfully completes her first job.

After several hours and some minor bits of excitement at certain things needing to be done on occasion, Shamus returns to the lab and tells Col that he's free to go for the day.

Col nods and trots outside. "Hmm... what to do? Maybe I'll see if anything's going on in central." He shrugged to himself, then flew in the direction of central.

Golden fills out the form and pays the fee. Immediately after turning in the paper she asks when she can do her first job.

The person she asks points at a huge row of open cabinets with boxes or letters in each, organized (roughly) by the location they're destined for, and tells Golden she just needs to fill in her name on the attached paper and when she delivers the items to fill out the time they got there and have the recipient fill out their name and the time. If there's nobody there, but there's a mailbox or something she's to place it there with the time filled out. She's also told there are some jackets, bags, and blank papers if she wants to pick up extra parcels while she's out there. She's informed that she'll get paid when the papers are returned to an office and that she's can come in and pick up her money whenever, but that she should expect the papers to be delivered right away unless she's the one turning them in. Also, if she's wearing the jacket people who received parcels might hand her papers to bring to a MOPS office. She's also handed a map with all the MOPS locations on it. Then she's told she can work whenever she likes.

Golden grabs a couple of letters headed toward Central, a bag, a jacket, a couple of blank papers, and puts everything except for the jacket inside the bag before setting out.

Rolls:

After taking a train to Central, Golden makes good time delivering the parcels she took. On her way she acquires several more packages to deliver, and she does so (though almost nobody she delivered to at home was there), but mostly what she spends her time on is getting stopped by people giving her MOPS papers. On her way to the nearest MOPS office she spots Coral Wrench sitting on a bench.

On Col's journey into town....

Gear Craft notices his trackers in the vicinity as he's passing through Central.

Gear Craft senses the trackers, and walks towards them, stopping when he sees a familiar bat pony. He trots up and says, "Hey, what's up?"

Col turns towards Gear. "Oh, hey! Nothing much, still working on that chemical for Golden, but I'm on break at the moment." He remarks. "I figured I'd head over to Central, see if anything interesting is happening, and if not head to a nearby club. You?"

"Did someone say club?" Floe responds as she lands, having spotted and remembered the pair from yesterday. "I could do with a drink, my band's disappeared off the face of the world."

Gear Craft agrees, saying, "Sure, I could use a dri- wait, what happened to your band??"

Floe shrugs. "Can't find them. It's no big deal, I'm sure they are just doing... something. I dunno. Drinks?"

Golden seeing Coral sitting on the bench decides to try and sneak up behind the Sea Pony. Upon getting behind her Golden covers up Coral's eyes and playfully asks. "Guess who."

"Hey!" She jumps up from the bench. "Do you know where I could get - you know - sewn and made from sketch into reality? I don't really know how to sew, and I'm not sure where I would get the proper fabric for the job."

Golden sits down next to Coral and props one of her hooves up against her jaw. " Hm well you could find like a seamstress but well then someone would like know that you are the one in the suit. I guess that I sorta could do it but well likely there is someone in the group that would be better like that ah Giraffe Gear Craft. Hey that sounds kinda funny if you say it fast. "

"Might as well, who knows, we might get a group discount!" Col laughs. "It'll give us all a chance to talk as well."

Floe heads towards the pair at the bench and whistles for their attention. "Hey you two," greets the dragonnel, "Up for a couple of drinks with the others?"
