Hum's in the Dark

After about 5 minutes, Jos comes back out, red-eyed and sniffly. "There we are! L-let's, uh... let's get going."

Noami gives Jos a warm smile and says, "That's the spirit." and floats ahead, taking the lead as they head to the mansion.

Jos twitches slightly and pushes in front of Noami.

Noami gives Jos an "oh really?" look and pushes back ahead of him.

((Are we racing?))

Jos grins, and shoves ahead again, unfurling his wings and taking to the air with all his might.. Now THIS is what I'm talking about!
((Flying as quick as possible:2 OH HELLO RANDOM PLANE.))

Noami grins and.... presses the wrong button.

((3... *sigh*))

Bl4K-B34RD silently curses all organic life as he simply walks toward the manor on the hill.

Jos... Doesn't even get off the ground, and ends up diving right into Naomi, tangling both of them up. Then, because of Naomi pressing the wrong button and Jos suddenly remembering how scary Naomi was in her fury earlier, they go at a much slower rate towards the mansion. By the time they get there Bl4K-B34RD is already waiting for them and looking as annoyed as an ancient robot is capable.

When you get to the mansion you all realize that there's a pretty good reason you were able to easily see it from the port in town, the thing is massive and looms over pretty much everything in the area. It appears to be relatively untouched, surprising considering the state of the town, and in fact it looks like not many people come this way, though the mansion is in good condition. There's this sort of wary feeling in the air, the sort of feeling that makes your hairs (Or feathers) stand on end. Jos recognizes this feeling as the one he usually gets when watching a really tense or suspenseful holovid, and it strikes you all, Jos especially after his "encounter", that something about this whole planet is just a bit off...

"Well," Jos says disentangling himself, "Not that being plastered all over you isn't fun, foxy, but we've got business to attend to." And with that he walks up and knocks.

Noami gives Jos an annoyed look and asks, "So how are we- oh." cutting off when Jos knocks.

There's no answer.

Jos looks annoyed, then looks for any observable locks.

Jos indeed finds a lock on the door, but it appears to be broken, luckily not in anyway that would prevent entry. In fact, it looks forced open, as if someone didn't have much skill in lock-picking but really wanted to get in here.

"That's... ominous." With that, he opens the door and steps inside.

As Jos opens the door the shadows seem to... move, though he doesn't notice this at first. By the time he has the shadows have formed into black tendrils and quickly dragged him into the mansion, out of sight. The rest of the party then hears a powerful laughter, followed by a voice. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go and save your lovable fool of a captain!" It says, cackling all the while.

Noami blinks for a moment, thinking about this and then turns to Black Beard, "So...... burning the place down?"

"Nah that be only making it angry we be needing a neutron bomb and a priest... Birdy is still the only one that can get the ship to sail right? So we be needing to bail out his sorry arse..."

Noami replies, "Ok, so what do you want to do? Walk right in there and get grabbed too?"

"Be we having any other choice? Also this may just be what the siren was speaking o' "

"Well.... you go on ahead in first then." Noami says.

The robot steps into the door.

Bl4K-B34RD, surprisingly, walks in without incident to a large foyer, with a set of stairs leading up to a second level full of other rooms, multiple doors leading to unseen areas on this floor, a few closets and a hat and coat stand. The whole place seems to have an ancient feel to it, with multiple paintings of people on the walls, though the faces of the paintings have been scratched out. The gold chandelier over-head does a pretty good job of illuminating the room, and everything seems well taken care of. There doesn't seem to be much dust either, and from your guesses, aside from the scratch marks caused by what you assume to be Jos struggling not to be taken away, everything seems in pristine condition, seeming to contradict the broken lock on the door.

Noami calls up the other two back on the ship and tells them to call her in an hour and if they can't reach her or the other two for over ten minutes they should come and burn the mansion to the ground and wait at least a while to see if any of them come out. Then she heads in after Black Beard and... feels like an idiot and tries to call Jos.

The crew agrees, though hesitantly, and says that they'll do their best. When you try to call Jos, however... There's an answer, but it's only a strange chuckling is heard before you hear a subtle yet horrible ripping sound and the communication drops off.

"Well that's.... well about what I expected. At least it was polite enough to pick up?" Noami says to herself and then clarifies what she was talking to herself about to Black Beard. Then she asks, "So, should we follow the claw marks or just randomly explore? If you say 'split up' I'm just going to ignore you and follow you around because coming in here at all was already a bad idea."
