Mertropolis

Floe glances through Heather's games. As she does, through the corner of her eye, she spots the skull she brought from Old Mertropolis. Then her idea returns to her. "Actually, we can play a game later, I gotta try something." She glides over to the skull, picks it up, and plops it down somewhere that Coral can see (clearing space if need be). She then begins to channel her powers to the skull. "This is gonna take a while. Wanna just talk?"

"Sure. Question: who's the cutest guy you've ever met?" Coral says, suddenly feeling deprived of girl-talk because her roommates aren't there.

"Oooh, tricky." Floe ponders this while her powers do their magic. "I do remember one griffon. I saw him in... ah, what's it called again? Whatever, I met him at a club. He had these beautiful blue eyes, like sapphire. I could not stop looking at them. And his feathers, wow. I have no idea what he uses, but they were wonderful, amazing. I wish I could run my claws through them all day. Damn they were soft..."

"Oh? Did you happen to catch his name? Or was it more than just at the club?" Coral says, curious both because she'd never really been big with the guys in Post Whinny, and because there was never even a wild house party there (at least, none she'd ever heard of).

"I've forgotten his name, this was a while back. And no, it wasn't more than just at the club. I tried to hit it off. We talked, we laughed, had a bit of a snog, and I gave him a way to get in touch, but the next time I saw him he was with some stupid earth pony slut." The earth pony was most likely not stupid or a slut, but thinking like that makes Floe feel better about being blown off like that...

"I dunno. I certainly wouldn't mind one." Floe gives a chuckle...

"Oh, I know how you feel!" Coral looks up at the ceiling, eyes focusing on nothing in particular. "So, who is he? Unless I misinterpreted your statement."

"Huh? Well, I meant in general really. But..." Floe takes a moment to think about a guy, one she hadn't really consider until now, before shaking her head. "Nah, it wouldn't work. I bet he's not even into me anyway."

A small smile grows on Floe. "You'd do that for me?"

"Wow, thanks Doodles. That means a lot." Now her brain couldn't help but entertain the idea of being with this guy. "What about you? Got anyone special in your life?"

"Well, like you, there's a guy I like, but I have no idea how he feels toward me. A slight blush comes to her face. "Where'd you come up with the name 'Doodles?'"

Golden grins quickly. "So he's still sleeping? Well Doc have you made any progress on that stuff?"

"Makes sense." Coral says, glaring up at her non-functioning horn, wishing she could at least work on some sketches. "So, what's this guy you're interested in like?"

"Oh sssome, sssome." Shamus says and nods his head. He takes the package from Golden with his tail and continues, "Things are ssstill boiling and bubbling as they sssay. Nothing to really give you yet though. Ssso far ssso good though. Things are going as I'd hoped, as far as I can tell anyhow. Perhapsss in a few days more time we'll be done. Perhapsss not. We'll jussst have to wait and sssee."

"Oh, I know exactly. That sounds just like the guy I like!" Coral blinks and looks at Floe. "Guys like that just don't come around very often, especially not where I come from. There was only one in my age range, and so many girls wanted him that he got spoiled and turned into a complete man-slut!" She sighs, remembering the few weeks she'd had with him before he dumped her for another mare. "This is a much bigger city than Port Whinny, though, so there might be plenty. What's his name?"

"Um..." Coral blushes and looks away. "Well... Uh... I only met him recently... He's one of the other hostages..."
