The Rise of the Windigo King (OOC and Signup)
As the title says, signup and OOC page for the campaign I'll be GMing soon!
A little about the GM then: umm... there's not much of anything to say. This'll be my first campaign I've made and first time GMing anything so please bare with me.
Even though I say Sign-up, we've already managed to get a full party! I'll keep this section updated as we go with harmony, current money, and in case anyone has to leave or someone new joins! I'll take a page from my own GM (I'll be doing that a lot Xand) and trust you all with your own rolls. I'm pretty sure none of you would ever cheat anyway!
I'll also be doing something I read somewhere, possibly the pony handler's guide, possibly a D&D DM book I bought if no one objects. "offer the players a small amount of experience harmony at the start of the campaign to come up with a backstory for their character. With things like family and friends, desires, and things they may be known for having done in the past."
I figure fluff like that would be really helpful for me so if you're alright with it, I'll offer up some harmony for your past achievements. Maybe about 100? If there's anything in those stories you want hidden from other players completely, perhaps for a big dramatic reveal, please PM it to me!
THE PARTY! ((I'll be starting you off default with 300 bits in your wallets/coinpouch/whathaveyou))

- fluff:
- Just off the coat of mainland Equestria lie the islands of Junna:a small chain of islands with the only settlement of note being Port Summer, itself a fairly small island town.
If there were two things about Junna and Port Summer that would stand out they’d be its climate and its history. The islands of Junna are warm and humid all year round, experiencing a sunny tropical warmth even when winter storms blow everywhere else. This unusual trait is so well known that many claim that “Time has stopped in Junna!” Indeed researchers, scholars, and mages often claim the islands always seems to be flooded with an unexplainable and ancient magic. This combined with the islands history of being won from native tribes of wild ponies that some would swear still hide in the jungles, and the ruins that often seem to prove them correct, has turned the small island town into a tourism hotspot!
It would seem that there is some new event every week to draw the eye and lighten the wallets of the visitors that flock to the island year-round. The town itself bares its history for all to see, the buildings in Port Summer all built from a local white stone that was frequently used by the ancient wild ponies. The town itself is built in four tiers, as part of a pony-made mountain built to help defend the original settlers. Even the tallest of buildings don’t go more than five floors high. All except the indomitable Fort Storm built at the very top tier of the town and whose high stone walls easily dominate the skyline. Once a fort built to contain and protect nearly the entire original settlement of Port Summer, it now acts as prison and headquarters for the guards stationed on the island, weathering age, wars, monsters, and storms for over 500 years with nary a crack or chip to be found.
Though just as the weather is not always sunny and calm, neither is the city always peaceful. The veritable flood of tourists, from families and salary ponies to movie stars and nobles, has attracted a swarm of rogues, con-artists, and pick pockets to stalk the shadows of the town and keep the guards busy.

a windigo isn't limited to just unstoppable rage. They just cause anger and hate in general, how exactly it manifests depends on what it wants and the individual its affecting.
Don't go assuming that a windigo's influence always results in just frothing wrath or you'll likely miss clues in the future.

Oh. hmm. Good to know. Thanks, DB.
EDIT: In this case, I suppose, assume that that's Torch's assumption.

I'm voting we go down the hidden path to the right.

Death Ray would be up for whatever (and out-of-character, if it took a check to find the path on the right, then as a player, I feel that's probably the best path to take).
