It's another chilly spring morning in Hushbrook, but for one stallion it is a special day. It's his birthday! And his friends are coming with his presents right now. Little do they know is that he has something on his own planned today...

Chance is holding a ribbon in her mouth that is attached to a small box wrapped in colorful paper as she knocks on the door of the Pine family's home.

Lickity trots excitedly to the Pine family's place, a moustache on his face and his cap on his head, but no apparent gift in sight. A keen eye might notice that the hat sits somewhat off his head, as though it were sitting on something else.
He smiles and waves at the other residents as he sees them.

When you arrive, an excited Pine Needles waits outside in a scarf. He is jumping on the spot in anticipation. As you get close he hails you over. "Hi guys! Hi! Guys! Hello! I'm so exci-"

"Hey hey hey! Happy birthday, pone!" Lickity quickly goes to Pine and hugs him, before addressing the others also present. "Chance. Starsong. How's things?"

Chance continues to knock on the door and mocks frustration at getting no reply, pretending not to see/hear Pine Needles. She replies to Lickity, "Oh hello there Mr. Postpony! If I'd had been told to pick two ponies to expect to show up here today, I don't think I'd have guessed the two of you." and gives a little laugh.

Needles smiles and thanks Lickity and Starsong for coming. He then pulls out two blindfolds. "Here, put these on."
Eventually the door is answered by a tired looking Bark Chips. Starsong puts her gift under her wing and takes the blindfold, though wraps it around her head just above her eyes so that she can still see, and she can put it down when Needles says so.

Lickity nods and starts to put it on, before sharply stopping and removing his hat. "Oh! Even sooner than that, this!" He telekinesises the box from the top of his head over to Pine Needle. "Hope you like it; Hoof-made from Pine family pine of course."

- Note for Future Reference:
- [28/05/2014 15:59:24] A.G. (Quietkal): Lickity's gift is a pine box with attached replicas of the Pine family and their house. There's an intricate design of gears within, and a small turner like that on a music box sticking out from one of the sides, that when turned move the replicas around and do things like running in circles, or miming using a saw on a tree, or slowly nodding a head while asleep.

Chase waits for Needles to be done inspecting Lickity's gift and then hands him her own. Which happens to be a snow globe of Prance that also happens to be a music box. The kind where you wind and the little figures inside move.

Pine Needles enjoys poking around with the box before snapping out of his excitement. "No, I need to take you guys to the thing I wa-" He interrupts himself with another gasp of excitement for Chance's gift, which he looks and plays with. While seeing Pine Needles happy is certainly not an unusual sight, on birthdays he always seems so much more happy...

Starsong lifts her gift out from under her wing. "Oh, well, this is a little silly. My gift is the only one that doesn't make music. Anyway, since apparently gift-giving time is now, here it is." She gives her wrapped box to Needles, but waits for him to settle down with Chance's gift before doing so.
- Gift:
- A hoof-carved, hoof-painted bobblehead toy of Needles and Starsong as foals, playing patty-cake on his couch, a scene of them when they first became friends. Both heads are bobbly, as well as their respective left hooves (the right ones are touching, and thus solid).
